About Truth For Voters

Working to Overcome Deception in Politics.

Truth For Voters (.org) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping voters to become informed about the Candidates, Issues and Judges for whom they will vote, with honest, credible and truthful information. Our mission is to provide the facts, in a fair, clear, and unbiased manner, without any coloring from personal opinion or partizan politics.

Primary Vision - Current Issues to be Decided by the Voters

To communicate a message, that citizens should spend a minimum of 1 full day every two years, preferably in September/October before the November election, becoming informed regarding the candidates and issues upon which they will make a decision when they vote.

To create a one stop tool (website) to make it easy for individual voters to locate accurate and truthful information on the candidates and issues upon which they will vote in the next election. This information will be painstakingly vetted to be sure it is accurate, unbiased, fair and honest.

Secondary Vision - Future Issues to be Discussed/Debated

To provide a forum to accurately understand and debate important and complicated issues that affect the lives of US citizens and our country as a whole.

Tertiary Vision - Change Governmental Accounting

To change the governmental accounting rules so that individual government departments have an incentive to innovate and become more efficient; so that they become better stewards of the people's money, while still doing their job effectively.

Phase 1 Mission - Create the 'Voter Information Portal'

One day every two years: Create a website and advertizing campaign delivering the message that it is the duty of each US citizen to spend at least one full day every two years becoming informed regarding the decisions upon which they will vote in the coming election.

Voter Information Portal: Provide an easy to use tool by which the voter can easily and quickly find the accurate and truthful information they need to make an informed decision. This will be accomplished by creating a website which starts with the voter's zip code, then showing each of the candidates and ballet measures to be decided for this specific voter. By providing a truthful and accurate summary of each candidate or issue; allowing for a more detailed drill down into each candidate and issue. Insuring that the voter can see the truth regarding how the summaries were created. Allowing the voter to understand what the candidate believes, what his/her actions have been and why, and the issues upon which they will be voting.

Phase 2 Mission - Create 'Direction for America' Website

Direction for America: Create a website that will provide accurate and truthful information about the current bills being created and decided by our representatives, and provide a forum to debate those and other important issues based on accurate information.

Phase 3 Mission - Change Government Accounting Standards

Innovation in Government: Define a new set of government accounting standards that will encourage innovation and efficiency within government. Overcome the barriers to get these new standards made into law.

Values:

To report the absolute truth regarding all information. If something is unknown, state what is unknown. When it is necessary to report an opinion, be clear regarding what is opinion and what is fact, and provide the reader access to the detailed facts that formed that opinion.

Not to allow any information to be influenced by political party affiliation. To insure the Veracity Boards are able to present the truth regarding any candidate or issue.
